When I first started receiving coaching from Melanie, I had just been through a very traumatic experience and my stress levels were sky high. I wasn’t coping with the fallout of what had happened and as a result the stress started taking a huge toll on my physical and emotional wellbeing. Through our sessions, I discovered how to control my stress but also to look at the underlying causes which has helped me tremendously. Melanie’s style is both warm and approachable which was great because I felt able to talk to her about the issues that were placing a strain on me. I attended the Proactive Wellness Seminar with questions about what I could do about my health specifically. I have only known about my Cystic Fibrosis for about 2 yrs and it has been a big shock and a massive lifestyle change I wasn’t adjusting to very well. I have come away from this event with a very clear view of what I want from my health and how to go about getting it.
Mel has given me a huge motivation boost to get me going on my journey and helped give me determination and belief that I can achieve the small goals I want that will help get me to my ideal! My coaching sessions with Melanie have had a huge effect on my life! Thanks to her careful listening, non judgemental questions and ability to see the positive in any situation, I have been able to achieve many goals.
Setting goals used to be difficult for me but now it comes much more naturally and with a bit of thought, an action plan will follow. This is all thanks to Melanie’s uncanny ability to extract my thoughts and offer them back to me in neat little action plan that I didn’t even realize I had constructed!
I have Fibromyalgia and Hypermobility Syndrome which were causing problems in all areas of my life. Having Melanie to help me tackle these head on has been invaluable. I am much more aware of my emotions and stresses on my body and can control what affects them. I have more energy, use my time more productively and am a much more confident person. I am more productive at work and enjoy more leisure time when I’m at home, which has had a positive effect on my relationships. I now control my conditions, they do not control me!
In short I am a fitter, healthier, happier person!
I still have some way to go to achieve some of my larger, long term goals but thanks to the techniques I’ve learned throughout this experience, I know I can get there… and I know how to!

During my time with Melanie, we have made great strides in my general health and fitness, exercise, and energy levels.
I suffer with Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis, and a lot of my last 5 years since diagnosis has been tiresome both mentally and physically and I could see no end to the fatigue and pain.
I am very grateful for Melanie’s time working with me to achieve better health and fitness, as I was at a 20% before the course and now feel I am at least 75%.
My exercise regime and thought pattern before my time with Melanie was approximately 10% but now my energy has increased hence I am at least 80% with a view to continuing to a full 100%.
Of course due to this my energy levels have and are still increasing from approximately 0% to 50% continuing also.
My time is being used more productively and I am more motivated than I was before.
I cannot thank Melanie enough for working with me and helping me to find ways to improve my life in general and helping me gather the tools to continue in my future.
It is an experience I would highly recommend to anyone to help improve many areas of life and well being.

Dear Melanie,
Thank you so much for your recent Coaching sessions, working with me on building up the confidence to be able to say ‘no’ when appropriate, and helping make decisions that will have a more positive impact on my health.
Before your sessions, I found it very difficult to say ‘no’ when asked to help someone; despite knowing that by doing so it would have an adverse effect on my health. I would feel guilty about letting people down.
However, during our sessions I was able to build up my confidence and realise that the only person I was letting down was myself, and that I was letting down my health by always doing things for others, and putting their needs first. Since the sessions ended, I have found the confidence to put me first and I am finding it much easier to make decisions based on how it will affect my health & wellbeing, and not about whether I am letting others down.
For me, this was a major step forward, and something that I have struggled with for years. It’s a change I knew I needed to make – but one which I struggled to do so on my own. I am so grateful to have found Proactive Wellness Ltd, and it is thanks to having you as my Health & Wellbeing Coach for those few sessions, I that have been able to make this important change in my life.
Again, my thanks to you Melanie for helping me to achieve this change, which now means that I can make decisions based on what is best for me, and not on what others will think.

Mel’s coaching is excellent! Mel helped me to focus on my goals empowering me to get where I need to go.
